New Hampshire Defeat?

Or Win for progressives?[or change *]
This is my flash analysis prefaced by the note that I have only had a quick glance to go on. I have not even opened the link but looking at only the top three in each race. Literally:
Results at a glance The Seattle Times
Hillary Clinton (D)39%
Barack Obama (D)36%
John Edwards (D)17%
96% reporting

John McCain (R)37%
Mitt Romney (R)32%
Mike Huckabee (R)11%
96% reporting

My point is that without getting into the technicality that New Hampshire is a primary compared to the Iowa caucuses and the game metaphor that this is like a World Series, not like the NFL championships where they play "loser out"; for a second there I thought I almost lost it in paraphrasing, in that neither of these cases are one on one, (dot, dot, dot... pause) anyway -- the point: I guess I got to the point in my second line, and you can do the math.

And if you can't I will be glad to continue in that, I am presuming that it is not winner take all in New Hampshire and that Obama and Edwards voters add up to 53% of the assigned delegates. If I am wrong, well you know what they say about what happens if you presume. Just like assume, you make a pres out of u and me. OK that goes over better on the screen than it does aloud, but you get the gist. Or Rather, we get to be the butt of the joke.

[Updated References:
a.) the data which I removed from an OpEdNews posting was in the teaser portion of the Seattle Times which I did not grab a hotlink from, because I felt it would continue to be updated.
b.) the following morning I did open the link I provided and found the entire results and followed up on my punditry but doing a Google on [New Hampshire delegates determined] and found
The New York Times Election Guide "Delegates determined after all votes are in."
c.) my intention for those that need hints, was to make a pun on the process not the candidates or the parties, given that it is more of a horse race. *
d.) not that metaphors or data are copyrighted, but I did want a shot at following OpEdNews.com
guidelines, so dropping the actual data and links was convenient. Although the bottom link is now added, but as yet unread.
e.)finally The Stephanie Miller Show played Barack using a basketball metaphor but I do not know if an earlier article had made it to my filter or head space, I do recall using "post-up" in my stand-up work...out. ]

[ * 1-10-08: two changes - - "progressives" to "change" meaning Obama appears to be progressive, but Edwards seems to be the leader in that area and "horse race" to NASCAR "Title Chase Challenge" as it has more contests than the Triple Crown.]

Hierarchy of Hypocrisy

Hating to generalize I note my potential logical fallacy in the following. Nevertheless, between the 2nd amendment and the 14th amendment, there seems a hierarchy for some. From Right to Bear Arms to Citizenship Rights where does the 1st amendment fit in? (*)

A. There is no hierarchy in constitutional amendments.
B. There are Supreme Court rulings that influence their dynamics.
C. So many blogs are moot points. (GOTO 1st sentence)

Of course maybe my posts are just moot or problematic. Problematic in generalizing and leaping. Unfortunately you must read, to decide. In generalizing there may be some association between the authors of certain events but not necessarily relevant. In the above case I simply point to fact that removal of citizenship is being considered for some but not their guns, while free speech is an element that might be fringe but relative. Meanwhile in an earlier and adjacent thought, some of this new found legislative fury seem like WMD.** Weapons of Mass Distraction. It would seem that all this populist rancor is really keeping Homeland Securiy busy. And while I support all rights reasonably used, I cannot help but feel that it really is a burden on our security. A bit more responsible reporting and responsible associating might help, but then how one goes about that...almost makes me long for a unitary executive. BTW: the dot, dot, dot was a rhetorical segue or moot question.

My potential obtuseness was not an attempt to be excedingly careful***, yet the cause and effect might be anachronistic(i.e. flip-flopped). The links to previous word choices were not intentionally designed to be more than a search for my previous usage, but they do seem to bring up some previous associations which show the importance of the process and progress, not to mention providing hope.

(*) an alternative link.
(**) not that early: My first referencing of Weapon of Mass Distraction.
(***) but maybe an antidote to some talk show hosts that muddle the search for terrorist

[Oh, and I do not vouch for the legal analysis or terminology in my ABC's. And had not intended to close with the SCOTUS link when I set out. Let alone the less than inflammable association with security. But it does seem that it is wierd that flammable and moot have similar usage issues as does the roots or branches of Faust, let alone Devil's Advocates. But no, that is the legal process, not to mention political, and word and world modifying dynamics, or as I have stumbled out(or coined) "dymanics". I will conclude with the issue that there was some Beckian confusion in the topic of a National Prayer Day in regard to what was canceled and what is being fought and by whom. But the ideas which Thom Hartmann yesterday contrasted was a National Day of Reason to share and balance the National Day of Prayer. While I suggested a National Day of Faith. But would that be legal? Not without debate, moot and inflammable or not.]

Enemy of the Good.

Perfect?
NOT, but with quotations or even their marks? None.
Nonetheless, "good" is found there.

This little ramble demonstrates
that the enemy is not anecdotes or metaphors,
but where one can get lost...
"Dot, Dot, Dot" --- anecdotes and metaphors*

I've been lost in email exchanges,
But good can be found in the bad.
Not necessarily that it is right.

I've been there before maybe in Candide.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Now to possibly un-lose you or re-lose you, if you are not lost in the middle of this; the point of perfect **? Not reality but a goal, out there. Not that metaphors are all wrong, nor words just right or even just enough. Just where is the bold lost and the rest just left behind?

*Perspectives and world views
** was in the search of my Perfect(question/mark)above, technical capabilities depend on exactness, only the word "good" was found and much more in the result, but limited to the quote it searched for not found to be used. That is just one aspect of the manipulative capabilities of the mind, let alone the needs of proper usages of technology, not to mention punctuation and grammar of which I am far from perfect in. Oh and I would like to thank some far from perfect friends and some not so clearly not enemies for this progress. Oh, and I don't want to continue this dance not that limbo is not a good metaphor, for not bending over backwards and being be too PC by avoiding biblical and cultural connotations to our preemptive natures.

Swift Reading!

"Is Growth the Be-All and End-All?

Exactly.
Exactly.
Exactly.

The economy is neither.
(Grammatically I am uncertain if a comma is needed or where, or if none is more to the points.)
Meaning it depends on perspective, not to mention choice of words, and sometimes two are not enough and one too many.

Where am I going? Exactly. Well not to be redundant, but...

Where have we been? Ourstory.
THAT IS TOO THE POINT.
Exactly and NOT.

* * *
Tangent or more to the point later and backing up to the present, I used to label such work QCON (Quick Comment On the News) , the N could stand in for nuts, or where it leads or where they come from, but I segue now, to the point. Good Piece! Despite my preemptive take on it, meaning, I have not finished or even read too much of it, but am sticking my preemptive neck out. But here is the catch or rather another perspective that I have applied the same methodology as well as possibly the subjects. That is somehow seeing between the leaps that others make or seeing that they have leaped to or fro a starting point, as well as what got us here.(Ourstory) [grammatical note: yes "fro" as in... well suffice to say I did edit check the sentence a time or too, and let it stand.]
But one point, whether the chicken or egg:
Hmmm? (dot, dot, dot) or rather

Well... based on a mistaken impression found in search of "be all and end all" the following came up. In furtherance of my methodology it could be labeled "Course Filter".
Course as in navigable and holey. Or wholly and holy.

But again I tangent to a possibly better place, whether by intention or error this may be the point. Given that I was not sure of this path but the point I used to get here was in my mind presumptive or nonetheless a found by a search.

This may take a reread and result in no recourse but at least it is not swift boating or hit and run. ID the future or id the future or the exception proves my rule. The search is ours.

Let them eat cake!

And have it too. OK, I am mixing metaphors or idioms. But apparently the Republicans deserve congratulations for taking the House and the Democrats have just escaped losing the Senate. A question was asked; why did this happen? The above was a bit of a spin on my first thought. My later thought was that people had not had enough. The(y)[*] had not gotten enough change, and hopefully they will not get more of the same. I would say this falls under the category of two previous comments. The Economy Stupid and Foreign Legions.

[* speaking of timing, typo corrections are not always noted, but in this case the (y) seemmed appropriate to note, as I am crafting a post at the moment.]

So you don't have to?

Thanks to Stephanie Miller, for listening to Bill O’Reilly "so you don’t have to."

Approximate quote:
Bill O'Reilly * [If there was ever proof that American’s need the right to protect themselves, it was hurricane Katrina.]
Note that I don’t want to read or listen to Bill O’Reilly again ** , to get it straight, but I believe gun rights was the issue. Actually I believe Americans do have the right to protect themselves, just not the tools to do it. Am I agreeing with Bill O’Reilly? Now that is scary, but it doesn’t mean I’m right. It doesn’t even mean you can read me any better than him, but that is not the issue.

Three points here: 1.) It may make more sense to approximate what is said since that may be closer to reality than O’Reilly gets. 2.) We should have the right to protect ourselves. 3.) It is not absolute, but could be if the government does it’s job the way some talk.

This approximation technique really is a problem, as things would be more effective if we could depend on words and filter them properly. But this process was not intended to take the humor out of my original approach which hinged on the line, “so you don’t have to".

Actually there are a lot of fields now where people don’t have the tools to survive where they would have been dependent on their environment more than their government.*** Those fields today or job categories rest on the premise that people are specialized in the name of progress and the economy "so you don’t have to". But they would all not be possible without the changing fabric of society that requires the same (specialization) of others, and would not work without a structure called government to regulate this changing balancing act.

Bottom line...
or punch line: "Run for the hills".

* note that literary licence and formality causes me to note that I have sufficiently noted that I don't use quotation marks here.

** I thought I had a blast for O'Reilly in the past, but here are some from the more recent and yet to be read: sticking to guns on a tragedy to smear [thanks to News Hounds... they "watch FOX", dot, dot, dot]

*** in correcting the tense here, I add the Darwinian metaphor "sink or swim" but think of the music to Jaws.

"a royal huff"

"Our Addiction to Fake Outrage": Could it be self-righteousness or open markets?* Information should be free flowing but...needs a filter not a Drudge. That is the dilemma: who?

Certainly not trickle down; talk about "bucket shops".

Progressive Strategies: Social Darwinism? Forgetting nature and God.

People forget to credit their environment, and take for granted what they got and expect others in different environments to do as well and take the blame for theirs. Shoe is on the other foot, or foot in mouth, shoot it. Grass is greener, blah, blah, blah, dot, dot, dot,** etc.

* the nature of information is that what shocks, gets attention (and awe), and feeds the market, rather than information that puts things together which is more complicated, much like the difference between war and nation building. On top of that to expect government not to have harder work to create laws and execute them(laws not people) and then the difficulty of the fourth branch has certainly not evolved in a straight line.

** another word for fertilizer is making the rounds
